Cataraqui

Cataraqui offers a mix of residential housing and businesses in Kingston’s west end. The area features several subdivisions of housing built adjacent to Princess street. A great place for people of all ages, the area is close to many businesses, grocery stores, retail outlets and more. Throughout the various subdivisions are local parks for those who enjoy spending time outdoors. The area is also close to major shopping centres like Costco and the Cataraqui Centre shopping mall.

 

Sydenham

Sydenham is a popular neighbourhood in downtown Kingston. The area is located between Lake Ontario to the south and Princess street to the north. The area features a population just under 3000 people. Due to its proximity to Queen’s University, the average family income is $85,636 which is considered higher than the city average. There are several restaurants, hotels, and attractions in the area making it a popular place for tourists and other city residents.

 

Reddendale

Situated in the south-west end of Kingston, Reddendale features beautiful parks, quiet streets and close proximity to the water. Bordered by Front Road to the north and Sandy Bay Lane to the east, this quiet area of Kingston is the perfect place for retirees and young families. If you are someone who enjoys being outside, there are several parks and attractions in the area to spend your free time.

 

Portsmouth Village

Portsmouth Village is a historic area of Kingston which once featured Molson and Labatt Breweries, Kingston Penitentiary, shipyards and sawmills. Today, the neighbourhood continues to have its historic village feel with modern amenities. The district sits directly on Lake Ontario and is home to the West Campus of Queen’s University and Richardson Memorial Stadium.
